Clash of the Titans!!!

Tonight is one of the most anticipated football games ever. It will be the first simulcast since CBS and NBC showed the inaugural Super Bowl in 1967. Originally the game was one of the eight games held back for the NFL Network but they decided to offer it to the other networks. My personal prediction for the outcome is for the Giants to win by 6. This prediction is founded on a desire to see New England go down and in no way portrays any scrap of conventional wisdom or even common sense. The Ravens already beat them in every way and the ignorance of their coach threw the game away. It's amazing how many games have been lost this year in the NFL because of a coach calling an untimely timeout. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for 4 touchdown passes from Eli Manning to Plaxico Burress.

  1. Tafsik lezyen bamoah! New England will win by 21...maybe more! Brady's gonna make history with 3 TD passes, and run roughshod over NY!! I'm so excited! I've been waiting all week for this!

  2. It may be nonsense but I've already mentioned that my hopes are not founded on anything but a desire to see New England lose. Now I'll make another prediction -- Tom Brady get's sacked 5 times in the first half and Bubba Belchicheck keeps him out of the second half for fear of injury. May we see this come to fruition in this day - Amen. :)

  5. And the Giants defense holds!

    7 - 3

  6. Brady to Moss for one of the most historic touchdown passes ever. Brady ties Peyton Manning for the most touchdown throws in a season. Moss ties Jerry Rice for the most touchdown receptions. The Patriots break the record for the most points in a season.

    7 - 10 Patriots

  9. Please stop with the play-by-play...you're worse than Bryant Gumbel! The Patriots are simply toying with them...wait until the
    2nd half!

  10. I see you're starting the excuses already! Giants are doing well, although they haven't been able to run at all.

  11. Field goal, and the Pats are on top! Just batting them around like a small mouse...

  12. I see the Patriots are cheating yet again and trying to gouge the eye out of Brandon Jacobs after the play. Disgraceful roughians!!!

  13. Well, crap. Touchdown, giants.

  14. Should've poked both his eyes.

  15. TOUCHDOWN GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    21 - 16 Giants

Even with the cheating of the Patriots :)

  16. Who's cheating? He was just letting him know that he had something in his eye!

  17. Then the cowards take a knee so they won't get beaten worse at halftime.

  18. Tom Brady and I are tight, in fact I have him on speed dial on my cell. I'm gonna tell him what you said.

  19. I noticed that you placed the Pat's helmut on top, and it's much bigger than NY's...Freudian slip?

  20. That's just to represent a deeper meaning. Kind of like David against Goliath. How'd that turn out for Goliath?

  21. Congrats to Tom Brady and Randy Moss on their new records.

    28 - 31 Patriots

  23. Don't get ahead of yourself!

  24. Well, at least they all made it a game worth watching. Kudos to the Patriots and the Giants for playing instead of taking it easy.

  25. OK -- go ahead and gloat!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Woo-Hoo!! And they did it with class....

    Awesome game!

  27. Except for the eye gouging!!! Giants, once again, mismanaged their time in the last few minutes. Why do they do that?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Eli Manning is just not Peyton. I think Peyton could've beaten the Patriots tonight because he wouldn't have made some of those mistakes...one of the best games I've seen in awhile. Now I can't wait for the Super Bowl! Who do you think will be there?

  29. I could see it being the Patriots and the Packers. It's still way early though.

  31. Hi. Thanks for dropping by my place. I'm afraid I know nothing about American Football ... but I voted on your poll! Monsters Inc is the best Pixar film ever!

    Take care :-)

  32. I couldn't agree more, kitty. It just has the combination of a perfect story line with an emotional and humorous group of characters. It was my own vote as well.
