1. I am a big fan of the right to bear arms...when we move to Israel, I plan to have a healthy arsenal...young activist will like to know that the first palestinian I see with wires drapping out of his clothes will get a sudden dose of lead poisoning...

2. Have you done any research on the gun laws in Israel? If so I'd be curious to know what you found out. Here in Missouri we have fairly beneficial laws and they've even put new laws in this past year that expanded gun owner's rights. As a matter of fact, one of the gun shops here where I've bought 2 of my guns from is run by one of our state representatives.

6. Here's a link to a very recent letter from Ruth Matar regarding a news article by Arutz Sheva, IsraelNN.com, "JUDEA AND SAMARIA: IDF ROUNDING UP JEWS' WEAPONS"
-------
Letter from Ruth Matar (Women in Green) Jerusalem
Thursday, December 13, 2007

Dear Friends,

The most shocking information was transmitted to its readers by Arutz Sheva, Israel National News, last week, December 5, 11:03 PM.

It is essential that you read this article.

JUDEA AND SAMARIA: IDF ROUNDING UP JEWS’ WEAPONS
by Gil Ronen
(IsraelNN.com) The IDF is conducting a large scale operation to confiscate weapons from the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria, according to Channel 10 TV. The purpose of the operation is described as “putting the settlers’ gun permits in order.”

The security coordinators of the communities in Samaria have been summoned to a meeting with IDF officers Thursday, and community leaders are convinced that the IDF intends to collect many of the weapons in the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria... continued at: http://womeningreen.org/?s=guns&x=16&y=1

Great post to prove the point, Jason! However, I'd just like to add the 5-6 million non-Jews that Hitler exterminated during WWII. Although, your number, 13 million, is the correct cumulative estimate for the number of Jews and non-Jews who were exterminated.

Daniel... it sounds like you may not be able to have personal weaponry in Israel, but please do look into the final outcome of the situation this article speaks of. Either way, I'll be praying for you two!

9. today, with much time to reflect on weapons and men.

men are hunters.

women are gatherers.

no wonder cain's contributions to G-d were disdainful to Him. he gave a woman's offering and abel gave what was expected of a man.

it all becomes clearer once the blinders are removed.

10. nanc -- I never thought of it that way. That's an interesting thought.

Yehudi -- don't forget the night vision......or maybe infrared....hey, what if you......

11. why else would G-d have disapproved of cain's offering?

he was blatantly giving off female vibes.

ReplyDelete
12. p.s. i'm just thinking if a woman had made the same offering, G-d may have been more accepting of it. of course, this is pure speculation.

why else would G-d have disapproved of cain's offering?

I always thought it was because Able offered his best, whereas Cain's offering was less discerning. Had Cain culled out the best... I suspect his offering would have been "acceptable". But I'm no authority, so draw your own conclusions...

Genesis, KJV

4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

The equivalent in Greek mythology...

Prometheus was a god long before Zeus took the Throne of Eternity. He fought for Zeus against the devising Kronos (Cronos), but Prometheus never had true respect for Zeus. He feared that the new Olympians had no compassion for each other or the mortals on the earth below. To show his disdain, Prometheus prepared two sacrifices and, in an attempt to belittle father Zeus, he made one sacrifice of fat and bones and the other of the finest meat. The trick was, Prometheus had wrapped the fat in such a way that it looked to be the most sincere tribute of the two. Zeus saw through the trick and magnanimously controlled his anger. He warned Prometheus but did not punish him.

You know us men... always trying to "trick" the gods and not give them their due... it's kind of our "trademark".

20. We are always taught in scripture to not lie to God and attempt to trick him who is unable to be deceived. Consider this as well:

Acts 5:1 - 11 (KJV)

1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

21. Incidentally, because we do have the right to own firearms we were able to eat grilled deer tenderloin at the Frank house yesterevening. (nice word, eh?!) There is something extremely honest and good about hunting and providing your family with good meat that was taken by your own hand. May we always have the right to own guns and the right to hunt to provide for our families.

When we buy something, we are always pandora necklaces thinking that it had better never become devaluated. The one piece that never loses tiffany engagement rings its value is always what people want most. Sometimes, the one pandora bracelets piece would raise its price tiffany with the rise of money. Here is recommended the pieces that pandora bracelet would always be treasured - Tiffany. The watches, bags, bracelets, necklaces. There will always be a classical piece in all the categories pandora jewellery of Tiffany.

First comes to the tank watches which tiffany charms are the favorite of a lot of people around the world. Of course, just like other tiffany engagement rings kinds of watches, Tiffany watches have both man and woman pandora beads style. No matter what kind of style tiffany rings or color it is, the tank watch always has its classical features. The tank watch is called one pandora beads of the very important objects in the world.

The watches have the pandora necklaces unique shape and "favored by all" watch bands. The mixture shape of geometry tiffany and art gives the tank watch its lasting value. Women with the tiffany engagement rings watches look more professional and modern tiffany earrings while men with the watch seem more pandora bracelet approachable.

Also, there is the famous bags which are one tiffany bracelets of those things that women want to put into their closets. Although pandora bracelets as time goes on, every year each brand will have its display of new tiffany co arrivals, the bags are always put at the pandora bracelets most attractive places. As y'all might have noticed, I will do whatever it takes to tiffany necklaces weed out the most popular and chic jewelry around, even it takes traveling to tiffany engagement rings very warm, beautiful areas like the island of Siesta Key in Florida. In fact, I'm even staying an extra few days here pandora bracelets just to make sure that I absorb as much information and style as humanly tiffany earrings possible (either that or I'm simply not interested in journeying back to the cold tundra that is New York City). Either way, this is the best way for me to pandora uk report back to you all the excellent styles that are pervading the fashion scene for the tiffany london] spring and summer of 2009!

If any of you saw the 2008 romantic comedy, Fool's pandora uk Gold, I'm certain you found yourself frantically Googling Kate Hudson's Palm tiffany Tree Necklace to find out where you could get one just like it. The palm tree necklace was popular last year, and is still flying pandora beads off the shelves today. There truly is something appealing about this shining sterling silver and cubic zirconia necklace with its intricate palm tree design. Of course, we're all aware that tiffany earrings the palm tree necklace that Kate wears in the movie is the real Tiffany & Co. version, which is made of diamonds, but unless you tiffany bracelets are also a multi-millionaire like Kate, you probably will also stick to the inspired tiffany engagement rings] version.

On top of various forms of palm tree jewelry, I have pandora found a bevvy of starfish, seahorse, and turquoise and coral-colored jewelry in the many boutiques and shops that Siesta tiffany london] Key boasts. Look for two-tone starfish jewelry as a big hit this spring and summer, as well pandora beads as the Tiffany Inspired Anchor Necklaces, which is another fan-favorite. It also incorporates a pandora sterling silver and cubic zirconia design that is nautical and airy for the tiffany co warmer weather.

Another ring that I get numerous compliments pandora beads on is an oxidized silver ring that I wear that has a big round cultured freshwater pearl at its center. The oxidized tiffany earrings silver and pearl blends classiness with art-nouveau for a modern look that is truly pandora beads unique and sure to catch some attention.
