Two Northern California men and two Georgians say they've got a body, a photo and DNA evidence pertaining to the elusive forest-dwelling man-ape — and that they'll reveal all at a press conference in Palo Alto, Calif., on Friday.
"I think you'll find that this is the real deal," Robert Barrows of Redwood City, Calif., told the Bay City News local wire service.
Matthew Whitton, a cop in Clayton County, Ga., and his friend Rick Dyer, a former corrections officer, say they recently found the body in the woods of northern Georgia.
Veteran Bigfoot tracker Tom Biscardi said he's examined the body, and that scientists will get their chance soon.
Here are some of the vital statistics on the “Bigfoot” body:
*The creature is seven feet seven inches tall.
*It weighs over five hundred pounds.
*The creature looks like it is part human and part ape-like.
*It is male.
*It has reddish hair and blackish-grey eyes.
*It has two arms and two legs, and five fingers on each hand and
five toes on each foot.
*The feet are flat and similar to human feet.
*Its footprint is sixteen and three-quarters inches long and five and three-quarters inches wide at the heel.
*From the palm of the hand to the tip of the middle finger, its hands are
eleven and three-quarters inches long and six and one-quarter inches wide.
*The creatures walk upright. (Several of them were sighted on the same day that the body was found.)
*The teeth are more human-like than ape-like.
*DNA tests are currently being done and the current DNA and photo evidence will be presented at the press conference on Friday, August 15th.
So what does everyone think out there? Is this going to be an incredible scientific finding or an elaborate hoax?

I'm going to be fair and weigh in first. Call it my love of childhood or flat refusal to grow up completely but the wild eyed kid inside of me believes that this is real. I love the idea that there are things out there that we know absolutely nothing about and that elude our "superior" reasoning. For something like this to actually show up after 50 years of people at least flirting with the notion that it may be real is a thought that makes me smile. Sign me up for "incredible scientific finding."
Who knows? i have seen some weird things in the Amazon, I'm sure are not 'discovered'! LOL!

I KNEW you'd be a fellow-believer yehudi01!!! Looks like you guys were looking in the wrong place all along. Maybe it's all a great hoax but wouldn't it just be great to once again remind us grown-ups that we don't know as much as we pretend to.
If this is true it may be exciting for humans, but think about the poor bigfoots, or is that bigfeet? Their existence has been solely for the purpose of hiding from the humans. Now what are they going to do? This is not good. This is really not good.

It's real, Jason. I've never told anyone this, but I was raised by a herd of wild yetti's. It's nothing I'm proud of, but it definately affects who I am today. My uncle Lenny still lives with them....

Papa Frank..until they disprove it, I will believe it! And why not? Stranger things than that have happened, and I believe that there is much out there that we just don't know about.
Besides, Daddy told me years ago about seeing something like that. He was brought up in the mountains of North Alabama, and he told me that what he saw almost scared him to death, and my Daddy was not one who was easily frightened of anything!
He said that it was larger than any man that he had ever seen, and had fur, or hair, that was 'white-looking' and that it had a cry like nothing that he had ever heard coming from an animal of any kind. He also said that even though he was a pretty good distance from it, he could smell the horrible odor of it.
Needless to say, he didn't hang around that thing long enough to find out too much about it!
I think he said that it was as frightened of him, as he was of it, though. Anyway..yeah, I believe they exist.

I heard the guy who made the costume on the radio, he knew it was one of his right away.
He wasn't sure who bought it but knew it was fake. Then they displayed a fuzzy picture and invited everyone to their website where you had to pay some extra cash to see more and better pics....at the bottom of the website it said

I guess it's us believers that have to feel silly this time. Oh well. Not the first time for me and it's sure to not be the last time either.
There's no harm in wanting to believe in something that you earnestly want to be true. The real harm is in believing in something even when you have been presented with facts that refute it. That's what is wrong with the liberals. They're anti-facts. You are not.
