Happy Fall Ya'll

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.

  5. I did not take these photos but I did see scenes just like these this past week. Missouri is a beautiful state in the fall time. My own land is almost 100% trees. And yes this is Sarah's Psalm 27 (although it really belongs to us all). I've been a little burned out with all the politics this week so I thought we could all use a little rest and perspective.

  6. Amen to that!
Lived on Whiteman AFB for 2 years, used to go to The Lake Of The Ozarks, a lot...loved it!
We lived on the "wrong" side of the tracks from, Knob Knoster...heheheheheheh!

  7. My Dad was part of the Minuteman missile project. We were there between 1962 and 1964, when he retired.

  8. Whiteman is still going strong. In fact, the Stealth bombers that were busy during the start of the war in Afghanistan took off from there and never landed until they had come back home to Missouri. Something like a 36 hour ordeal for the pilots.

This is a beautiful reminder to slow down and breathe. I'm worn out with politics, too. Sometimes I get frustrated that this beautiful time of year can become dominated in our psyche by the media..all the noise. We need to just turn it all off and be alone with God.

    Thanks!

  12. Great pics, I do like the fall. We are starting to lose some color here. We are starting our drab period between the fall colors and the winter white. Not pretty.

  13. It's this nice down our way, too...all the leaves have finally changed and hopefully it's like this for the next couple of weeks as I soak in my favorite season of the year.

  15. Jessica was Belle and Arianwyn insisted that she was Cinderella even though she was wearing an Ariel dress. At heart they were both pirates as they kept running to the next house yelling "Trick or Treat AHOY!!!" We had fun!!! I saw the picture of your little ones on funkyaxe.

  16. Thanks Papa F. We don't get this kind of sight in Florida. We're
    mostly green all year long.

  17. Except for the yellowed palm fronds...just before they fall, the day after yard pick up...LOL!
And the coconuts turn before they drop. Does that count?
Good morning, G*D bless and MARANATHA!

  18. I lucked out this year. Managed to get to a Shaker village just at peak color and dry weather with the temp in the high 60's.

One of those days that doesn't need an answer.
