A Surprise
Kim and I got a nice surprise yesterday evening. When we came home from work we were playing around with our girls and having a little family time together. One of our girls asked if they could go spend the night with grandma. After a phone call and supper they were off to grandma's for a great time. Those of you with small children KNOW what a happy surprise it is when you get an unexpected night together alone. They really love spending time with grandma, and what's not to love?! We took the opportunity to go and see Indiana Jones. I will leave all serious movie reviewing to my friend Edge but this movie had all the elements that you look for in an Indiana Jones movie. You know the ones -- the epic theme music cued by Indy's hat appearing, the plane flying with the red line being drawn on the map, illogical chases with war vehicles, clues written in dead and gone languages -- the essentials. All in all it was a fun experience and enjoyable but this one doesn't quite have the same feel as the others did. Certainly worth watching though.

I heard it was terrible from die-hard Indie fans...they nearly got up and walked out because it was so ridiculously far-fetched that they couldn't take it. Now I'm torn because I love Indiana Jones!
PS, sorry for commenting on Shabbat....
It was certainly far-fetched. Farther than the other three. I would categorize it as entertaining and worth viewing but it would certainly come in last place as a ranking of the series.
Maybe I'll go check out the latest Rambo movie...I'm a sucker for 60 yr-old action stars kicking some butt...LOL!
What, no sex in the city? Nevermind.
At least a little sense and class here!
FJ-THAT piece of debauchery can just wander down the path to Hell by itself!
Yehudi-I'm torn about going and seeing it myself.
tmw
Jason-Glad you and Kim had sometime to yourselves, it IS very precious, my 2 are 21 months apart...so I understand!
I was talkin' bout after the movie, tmw...
Ooops. I'll go stand in the corner now.

Farmer!!! I'll get nanc over here to give you an evil look. Although, truth be told...............
FJ, snicker, snicker....
Jason!!!
I'm not going to tell you how many men I know who are just dying for their women to 'drag' them to the theater to go see Sex and the City. They won't go by themselves...although they're all dying to see it. They all got addicted to the series on TV with their wives and now....well. Let's just say it's a situation.
Jason, so glad you got to have an enjoyable evening out. I haven't seen a good movie in ages. I'm looking forward to the new Narnia movie!!
Pinky-My 2, and my son's friend who is a girl went to see "Prince Caspian" last weekend, they really liked it...and the view of the young ladies was that Prince Caspian is HOT! :rolling of eyes:
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!
tmw
I really wanted to go see Ironman and yet everybody that I called was busy. Bored...
Daniel, where did you go? Your blog vanished!
You didn't call me -- I'd go with you! It will only cost one of us about $500 in gas.
Just so everyone knows...I know there's a few people wondering what happened to my blog. My wife and I lead very busy lives, and the very limited time that we have together should be spent together, however, I was spending more time on my blog than I probably should have and was therefore robbing my wife of my time...which she is entitled to. In a fit of frustration I deleted my blog in my usual over-dramatic fashion...and she reminded me that I am a moron. She wasn't looking for that...just more of my attention and time.
I may start another blog sometime down the road, but I will continue to visit your blogs and pipe in. Have a great week everyone and I'll be talking to you soon!
Shavua Tov,
Daniel (Yehudi)

when pop and i get an evening alone together, the LAST thing we want to do is stare at a movie!

GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER!

OMGosh, I've gotta see it!
Maybe we'll pack up the chilluns and go here.
I totally understand, Daniel. My husband has resorted to reading my blog to find out what's going on with me! ack! just kidding. sort of. :-)
Jason, my four year old is in my lap right now...and he's laughing at the pic of the guy on the Obama poster...uh, you wanna explain this? hee hee ahahhahahaha!
Sure Pinky -- just tell him that Mr. Obama was looking for Chris Matthews.
LOL! I think he may find Bill O'Reilly in there somewhere as well....
HaHAHAHAhahahAHAHA!
I don't think he'll get it....
Chris Matthews needs to wipe that foamy spit out of the corners of his mouth. ewwww. makes me gag.
O'Reilly lost me a loooong time ago.
I guess now that yehudi's blog is gone he'll take me to see Rambo!UGH!!!! LOL... Honest everyone I never asked him to do that!
He cares for you greatly Karin and is a man of great passion - even as David was. Sometimes that lead us to extremes.
Frank Fam,
Haven't seen it yet, but I plan to take my dad and my uncle to see it over Dad Day Weekend!
