From The Mouths of Children

"Dear God please help the people in the storms and for the people who had the tornado break their house that they would get a brand new one. Please keep us all safe."

These were the words of one of my 5-year-olds as she prayed before going to bed. I am so grateful to God for giving me girls with a soft and tender heart that genuinely care about other people. Even people that we don't even know. Even now the thunder is booming and the rain is beating down on our windows as the lightning flashes through the panes and the hail bombards the side of our home. But my girls gently and quietly sleep confident in the One who brings us our weather and still under the magic illusion that nothing bad can happen to them when their daddy is home. My heart is full with seeing their faith. And their magical illusion calls to me undeniably, like a siren's song, to be a better dad and a better husband and a better man. It is they who are my strength and my encouragement.

Good little post!

Papa Frank,

THE INCREDIBLE HULK WAS AWESOME!!! Got back to my place around 2:15am and paying for it at work today but it was worth it! This movie didn't seem to really follow the first one that much which was cool! Lotta action and a very LOUD movie! Probably not the kinda flick you would want to take the girls to though.

Don't stay to the end of the credits for a "special scene: because there isn't any.

Still it was a very cool movie. Norton, Tyler, Hurt, and Roth did very well in it. I would say it is just as good a movie as Iron Man...maybe better!

out of the mouths of babes!

they certainly have a way of keeping us honest and devoted - oh, how i wish for a moment back with mine at that age - they were so precious - they're precious now, but it's different with a babe.

Lovely! Hold them close as they grow up so quickly in this ugly world we live in! Thank God for families with little girls who know the love and security of a Dad in which to feel safe.

so true.

It's funny how I've looked for inspiration in other places when it's right under my nose.
Children are fabulous!

Hate to tell you this, pf, but the Obama backers like David Geffen of ( Geffen Records) really hate innocence and wish to put an "end to it".

I've been looking up to Him for strength of late as well. A good prayer sure does the trick.

Nice post.

Children see things just as they are and have the gift of understatement!

Kids always seem to come up with more common sense than adults, don't they?
