May God open the eyes of the blind and make a fool of us all

It seems I've imagined him all of my life
as the wisest of all of mankind;
but if God's holy wisdom is foolish to men,
He must have seemed out of his mind.
For even his family said He was mad
and the priests said, "A demon's to blame";
but God in the form of this angry young man
could not have seemed perfectly sane.
When we in our foolishness thought we were wise
He played the fool and He opened our eyes.
When we in our weakness believed we were strong,
He became helpless to show we were wrong

And so we follow God's own fool;
for only the foolish can tell.
Believe the unbelievable;
come be a fool as well.

So come lose your life for a carpenter's son,
for a madman Who died for a dream.
Then you'll have the faith His first followers had,
and you'll feel the weight of the beam.
So surrender the hunger to say you must know,
have the courage to say: "I believe".
For the power of paradox opens your eyes,
and blinds those who say they can see.

And so we follow God's own fool;
for only the foolish can tell.
Believe the unbelievable;
come be a fool as well

Jason, these lyrics say, "And so we follow God's own fool;
for only the foolish can tell.
Believe the unbelievable;
come be a fool as well.

So come lose your life for a carpenter's son,
for a madman Who died for a dream."

Jeez, not too flattering for Christians. Why would you post this? Are you making your move toward conversion? Do I need to email you my rabbi's number?

This here is the sort of faith that Abraham had. It's only by losing our life that we can find it. I'm sure Abraham was called a fool by many. Leave your home and go to a land that you don't even know -- fool! Have a child when you're well beyond productive years -- fool! Or how about Noah? Rain, what's that? -- fool! Build a huge boat in the desert? -- fool! Work for 120 years on the boat -- fool! How about David? Go against Goliath? -- fool! Only bring a sling and some stones? -- fool! How about Joshua? March around Jericho? -- fool! March around it again the next day? -- fool! The next day, the next, the next, the next, the next, the next? -- fool! As you can see, if I'm called a fool I will wear the name as a badge of honor because I am in great company!!!

"Believe the unbelievable;
come be a fool as well"

Jason, I'd just like to say that though you and I don't see eye-to-eye on a few things, Karin and I love you guys as though we're all family. It's amazing that since we all passionately serve a G-d that is Love by His very nature, that love becomes a natural by-product among His followers. Thanks for being such a great friend and brother. :)

Thank you so much for those kind words. I will no longer refer to you as my friend but rather as my brother. It's amazing how God not only having love but in his very nature being love makes those who earnestly seek him feel like kin. You have helped me to grow spiritually. I now am much more deliberate in my thinking through the things I believe. Hopefully you have recieved strengthening as well and not just given it. You guys are now Franks, although Abrahamson is a much cooler name.
