LOL I am expecting to share similar pictures Papa Frank! We are expecting snow tonight and I am sitting here hoping it doesn't ruin my budding lilac bushes!
*Chuck, I am from Michigan too. Now I am in a different state with much the same weather!
Poor trees and bushes...they look pretty, but it's sad that they may take damage. I was born in Baltimore, but have spent 4/5ths of my life in Florida...with short stretches in; Indiana, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri, and California. Northern California, near mountains. We are just going to get thunderstorms, at least we won't have to shovel it!
Things have been budding out for only a week or so. I think most things will be OK but there's enough ice on the trees and a strong enough wind so that some trees are coming down. We're use to full blown ice storms here so it doesn't seem too bad to us. The snow on top is AWESOME packing snow and so tomorrow morning the Frank Fam's gonna be building snowmen!!!
See, Papa Frank this is one of the main reasons I would never move back to the Mid-West; except of course unless the Lord says to, but you know He says in His Word that He would give us the desires of our hearts and that is a major desire never to go back to the Mid-West to live. :)
Enjoy the snow, and if ever you decide to move allow me to suggest the Atl.
TMW, yeah that's normally our thing once every couple of years. We did at the beginning of March this year we had some stick to the ground for a day or so.

We have a chance of 1 - 2 inches of snow tommorrow. This is typical for Michigan though so were used to it.

All good people come from Michigan. I was born in Plainwell.

Oh, no! Is your foliage going to be OK?!?
We have a light flurry in the f/c for the morning. Looks like we're getting a very weak remnant of your storm here in the Ohio Valley.
