The World's Dumbest Couple

South Carolina Democratic Chairwoman, Carol Fowler told politico that Sarah Palin’s “primary qualification is that she hasn’t had an abortion.” She also said in an interview that the selection of an opponent of abortion rights would not boost McCain among many women. “Among Democratic women and even among independent women, I don’t think it helped him,” she said. Told of McCain's boost in the new ABC/Washington Post among white women following the Palin pick, Fowler said: "Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway."

If you recall a couple weeks ago her husband said this concerning hurricane Gustav coming at the start of the Republican convention:

"The hurricane’s going to hit New Orleans about the time they start. [Chuckle] The timing is — at least it appears now that it’ll be there Monday. That just demonstrates that God’s on our side. [Laughter]…Everything’s cool." - Don Fowler (Former DNC Chairman)

Lord,
Please bless me with intelligent speech, whether I'm of intellect or not. If I do say something inane and insane, please allow me to be only in the presence of myself, so that it does not become the latest laughingstock on Papa Frank's blog. :-)

Amen.

This has been quite a 24 hours for the Dims, we have this, Obama's pig remark, and Joe Biden's "Hillary would have been a better pick than me". They seem to be trying to give the election to McCain.

Please tell me these two have not had children.

This is liberal ignorance at its finest.

Glad I know who they are now. We should all follow up with letters.

Those folks need a remedial laying on of an axe handle. A good drubbing would improve their outlook on life.

Amen, Hermit!

These two asshats are perfectly suited for each other.

"Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway."

Racist *ahem*! Would it be OK to say all blacks are Democrats? Of course not!

I don't know, I kinda thought Chuck Norris on Larry King claiming his two troop visits constituted two "tours" in Iraq was the best recent stupid.

I'm looking forward to a circus like we haven't seen in the next two months.

You and me both, Ducky. My new friend Salubrina has a pretty dumb quote at her blog as well.

"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it."
- Barack Obama

The one that gives me a chuckle is McCain throwing his "earmark tantrum" ... "And you will know the names, you will know the names".

Come on. It's a matter of public record. Informed voters know the names ... Lott, Byrd, Stevens, Palin, Feinstein.

Ron Paul brings home the pork but he claims it ain't pork because "the money has already been allocated to Congress". What a merry jape, eh?

By the way, research the Knik Arm bridge. There were two (double your pleasure, double your pork) bridges to nowhere and the other hasn't drawn heat and is still on.

I get a kick out of Palin, she carried so much pork home she got trichinosis.

Damn, we are a bunch of suckers.

Some good stuff from Wikipedia on Sarah:

As mayor, she passed a 40% property tax cut,[58] while supporting a city sales tax increase to 2.5% to pay for a new sports complex.[59] As governor, Palin helped pass a tax increase on oil company profits, although she opposes the Windfall Profits Tax proposed by Senator Barack Obama

Hard to defend her as a tax cutter.
-------------------

After Palin became governor in 2007, the $223 million Congressional earmark for the bridge was criticized nationwide as wasteful federal spending.[42] Congress replaced the $223 million bridge earmark with a $223 million infrastructure grant for Alaska to use in its discretion.[43] Palin then reversed herself and canceled the bridge project but kept the $223 million federal grant for the state "because the money would otherwise have to be returned to the federal government."[44][45][46][47] Mike Elerding, Palin's campaign coordinator in Ketchikan, says, "She said 'thanks but no thanks,' but they kept the money."[48] According to Palin’s communications director Bill McAlister, the bridge "isn’t necessarily dead"; it may still be built with "a less costly design."[49]

In other words, "Bend over".

Come on Papa Frank, she's a fraud and nothing more than a stooge for the Stevens arm of the Alaskan Republican Party.

I have to go with Obama since the Alaskan R's grab more pork than Mayor Daley's Chicago machine although they are very good.

I see the delusions have set in deep ducky. Alaska was in debt and now it has a surplus. Palin got rid of all the expensive trappings of being the Governor and wasted no time in fighting corruption. Even the corruption in her own party. Would you care to take a look at Obama's pork? Which would be pennies when compared to Hillary. And how about John McCain who has the best record in congress for pork. All government spending watchdogs agree that McCain is the very best. So thanks but no thanks on your delusional opinion of Palin. I see she has you quaking in your boots as well. How are them polls going for you ducky? By all means please continue to attack Sarah as it has done wonders for your poll numbers (wink wink).
