Advice to Obama

Here's a little history book reminder for the Democrats. Just so they don't forget the power or will of the people when we feel that we are being unfairly taxed and not represented by our government.

Excellent find!

That video is from the 1970s, I think. I wonder if schools still show this type of thing.

Good one Papa Frank's. Let's see if Obama is paying attention.

Very cool!

Is it Schoolhouse Rock? I used to watch it on Saturday mornings as a kid.

AOW, I never saw stuff like this in school and I graduated in '97.

Sometimes I wonder if the American People still have that Revolutionary blood in their veins? After all, we are so overtaxed as it is and no one is willing to rise up...

Obama is the result of George Bush forgetting the power and will of the people.

What a blast from the past. I remember watching this on TV Saturday mornings when my sisters, yeah, my sisters, were watching cartoons ;-)

I sure do hope Obama gets this video.

Ducky -- Obama is the result of the US being dumbed down and spoon fed by the media. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Papa, what is this "the media".

You folks are always talking about "the media".

Let's see, I subscribe to several periodicals. Do you think The New York Review of Books dumbs people down as opposed to say Rush Limbaugh?

I'm curious how you manage to judge your own level of enlightenment. How did you escape and what meta evidence do you have that you in fact did escape?

My position is pretty clear, people on both sides are in a stand off armed with cliches.

However, you'll have to move in pretty mysterious ways to demonstrate that it wasn't time to step of the ledge and ditch the national suicide being created by the far right.

Ducky, Rush Limbaugh is Political Talk Radio, not "The Media" it's one thing if you are a Conservative talk show host who pretty much clearly presents what he is and where he is coming from as opposed to "The News" which has been in Obama's pocket and claims to be unbiased.

CNN,CBS, MSNBC and ABC (AKA 90% of the news people get on TV) all not only did their best to boost up Obama, they actually made excuses for him to cover up every mistake, every gaffe, and every bad piece of his history.

I wonder if we could pull it off today. There was an article in Shotgun News recently that said resisting the government by force isn't possible anymore. I don't know.

Yeah, that's where it all goes South, misfit.

If the right doesn't find certain outlets sufficiently critical then they must be biased.

... or possibly some viewers are extreme and consider themselves mainstream. It may be that the Bill Ayers connection wasn't what the right imagined in its fever dream, no?

Ducky -- Independent studies of the media coverage of the election found that favorable coverage for Obama was 8:1 when compared with the favorable coverage of John McCain. Why can you not admit that the media was in the tank for Obama from the start? The media asked for John McCain to prove his citizenship as he was born overseas. John McCain provided the proof. Why did they not require the same of Obama? The media asked for school records of John McCain. John McCain provided the information. Why did the media not demand the same from Obama? That is only two examples of a nearly endless list.

Ducky..the NY Review of Books? Are you teasing?
This made me laugh, no offense.

By "Dumbing Down" we mean teaching not to THINK, to ASK, to dare disagree with a liberal professor...the grading lower of conservatives in schools, the silly media that's so in the bag for liberalism their honesty's TOTALLY gone. (except FOX, which has both sides ALWAYS represented, which creates LESS dumbing down)

The New York Review of BOOKS!? Some elitists are THE most dumbed down people I KNOW.
