Any Foodies Out There?

While we were at the Magic Kingdom on New Years day I ran into a fellow foodie. This is a foodie of the bizarre sort. I ran into Andrew Zimmern from the show on the Travel Channel entitled "Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern." He was in a playground area called Pooh's Playful Spot. I was in the middle of taking some pictures of our girls when I looked over and saw someone else doing the same thing who looked familiar. Low and behold it was Andrew Zimmern taking photos of his own kids. I walked over and told him that I enjoyed his show and he said thank you and shook my hand. He was very polite and I left him alone to be with his family as nobody else around seemed to either know or notice who he was. Call me a geek if you will but some of my heroes are not big and tough or strong and brave but are simply quirky people who love to cook. What can I say? I'm a Foodie.

It's nice that he was so pleasant and you were so respectful but, as far as eating worms and things? ptui!
i mean, it's not like I'M Jungle Mom or anything!! :-)

No wonder he wasn't eating... Disney only serves non-crawling food. ;)

He's wearing neat shoes.

I consider myself a foodie, but I prefer food that tastes good..

I actually have never caught his show, I tend to watch food network for that kind of stuff.

i'm only a foodie because i love to cook and concoct new and strange flavors - usually by the time i'm done with preparing a meal i don't want to eat it! but hey - that's what you have families for!

I loved reading through your vacation pictures...I'm so glad you guys were able to go. I remember when we came and saw you guys during the summer there was some question as to whether you'd be able to get there.

G-d bless you guys!!

Cool. I'm a "foodie", but I'm not an "eatie" a la Zimmern. I like to watch his show, but I couldn't possibly eat the foods he manages to stuff down his gullet. Yikes.

He seems like a fun and cool guy. And totally cool kicks he has on there.
But I can hardly eat fried shrimp.

oh, yep. I've seen his show before. I love the Travel Channel. I like the show where that girl...something Brown? goes all over critiquing locales. THAT is my dream job. Travel critic.

I hate her. ;-)

Sandra Brown. I would LOVE to have her job as well. Although you would probably look considerably better in the pink dress.
