Let The Gun Grab Begin

This is from WWW.WHITEHOUSE.GOV the official website of the Obama/Biden presidency. Here's their intentions:

"Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent."

How exactly do you make a gun "childproof"? Why do liberals always attempt to make stuff people-proof instead of realizing that the real problem is the people? Gun violence is not about guns near as much as it is about violence. Guns are tools. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Guns kill people like pens misspell words or cars cause drunk driving.

The NRA recently ran a story on the "gun show loophole" myth. Don't have the link, but would be good to look up.

Welcome, Dan. We're all friends here. Make yourself at home.

I think we need to work on our skools first.

Chuck -- $120,000,000 would have been a good start on helping out education. Too bad it was all blown on a coronation party. They'll be cleaning up from these green "environmentalists" for days if not weeks. They really trashed the capital good.

I cannot imagine them canceling the annual gun show at Expoland here in Fishersville Virginia. No way. Not in the same town where Lee-Jackson Day is celebrated, and where hunting is just another thing and where the kids host "bring your tractor to school day" in some of the local high schools.

Making guns CHILDPROOF? LIke they can shoot anything BUT a child, somehow!? heh
You know what they say about anything CHILDPROOF..ONly a child can DO IT!

You childproof a gun by putting it in a locked case and teaching the child how to respect it.

I'd hoped for this one. Great news. Now when some gang banger goes down to Virginia or Georgia and loads up on firearms we can trace back to the dealer and find the source of the purchase.

Dealers with a pattern of violation of point of sale law can be busted. Great news.

Yes, guns need to be made "childproof" because so many inner city "children" are being killed by guns wielded by the "under 18" set in drug turf wars.

It's more about taking guns away from the general public than all the pompous bombast about "helping law enforcement" yadayadayada would indicate. The Dems don't want the peasantry armed. They don't care what they have to do, or say, to attain that goal. They don't understand , or want to understand, that more laws won't bother people who already break the law on a daily basis. Nor will more laws keep firearms out of criminals hands anymore than they keep drugs out of criminals hand. The British experience is the best example I know of in terms of contrasting disarming the populace with the rise of violent crime. Bad people don't care a tinkers damn about what Hussein or any of his worshipers think or want regarding firearms.

I hear that gun sales are way up and so are gun prices. I don't think Americans are going to roll over and let their guns get confiscated. It might get bloody, but we'll fight to keep them.

ya, what's WITH the spelling?
Typical Obama fan, huh!?

I think it's deliberately spelled wrong. Poking a stick in the eye of the establishment learning machine is edgy in this maroon's brain.
