Michael Steele -- New Head of RNC

"For so long, we've allowed the Democrats to define us, we've allowed the media to define us, and so it's important for us to begin to establish with clarity who we are, what we believe as we begin to go out and take, I think, a brand new message to the American people."

I'm happy about this, but unfortunately it's only a matter of time before the media finds something negative about the decision.

I LOVE THIS GUY and am SO HAPPY!

"....we've allowed the media to define us....." HALLELUJIAH, if THAT isn't the stupid TRUTH! Please, MIchael..DO something! We don't need a new message, we need to get back to conservatism and somehow make the media STOP demeaning and mischaracterizing.

Great pick!! I love the picture, Pops!! xx

I think if the MSM is going to spin anything negative out of this it would probably be the fact that he wasn't a member of the RNC before he was elected.

That's my NOVICE oppinion, be gentle with me if I'm off base here, ok?

Blessings.

I'm going to reserve judgement until we see how Steele does. If he can weed out the RHINOS and bring in some actual conservatism, he's a winner as far as I'm concerned!

Great quote. This goes to the heart of what I have thought has been the problem with the GOP. We are letting the left (including their PR wing, the MSM) define us.

I like him. I am a little cautious but my gut is it's a good thing. He is well spoken and can communicate well.

Sorry, you allowed Karl Rove et. al. to define you. Now you pay for that error.

What Obama said to the Muslim world in his inaugural address, he could have just as well said to the Republican Party, "People will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy."

No Duck, we let the media define us, and Karl Rove. I like Karl Rove, you don't because he was succesful at his job.

He lost the 2006 congressional election, but he won re-election in 2004 when conventional wisdom said Bush was toast. He held seats in Congress in 2002 when history says he should have lost them. Even in the "landslide" of 2006, the losses were held to low numbers for a president at this junction of his presidency.

You can spin this with any nonsensical statement you want but the media is biased for their fellow idiots on the left. They overstate any "accomplishement" by the Democratic party and overblow any misstep by the GOP. And this is on a good day. On a bad day they are fabricating facts. You do remember the 2004 CBS/Presidential election fiasco right?

Further they take false statements by the left and run with them, knowing they are false. One example I remember is when Howard Dean, as DNC chair, said the eminint domain case by the SCOTUS was a result of the Bush far right court. This statement was entirely accurate except for two facts. One, it was voted on by the left wing of the SCOTUS along with Sandra Day O'Connor. Two, Bush had not appointed any members to SCOTUS yet, meaning it was therefore not his SCOTUS.

Fortunately for liberal idiots everywhere, the media doesn't get wrapped up in the truth when they report on a story, they ran with it anyways.

So, no, Karl Rove has not defined us, we have let the media and the left misdefine us.

Hoo-ray, Chuck! Let's cook up some duck...

PF: Tomorrow is the day. I will publicly give you one last chance to switch teams and take the Steelers. If you decline, then the bet is sealed. You, my dear friend, should spend the afternoon waxing.

And you, my friend, should spend the afternoon trying on your wife's dresses. Cardinals all the way!!! Seal the bet and find some matching shoes and a beaded necklace. We'll compare the pictures with last years and see if the year has been kind to you. Hee Hee Hee!!! ;0)

Anyone got the clips of Mike Tyson and Don King campaigning for this bobo?

At least it's a Republican admission that Ken Blackwell is permanently damaged goods. That's some progress for your side.

Papa Frank said...

How about the clips of Farakhan or Rev. Wright campaigning for your exalted leader?
