My Wonderful Sister

Although I don't often mention my sister here on the blog I would like to introduce her to you guys. She is my older sister by almost 9 years and so she was not only my sister growing up but did a lot of taking care of me as well. I can honestly say that she has been very good to me my entire life. She has been married to a wonderful man who has loved and cared for her in a wonderful way for 17 years now. Their anniversary was while we were at Disney World. We had a blast getting to spend our holiday with them in the most magical place on Earth. They have a great son that is a little younger than the girls. The girls just LOVE their cousin and are nuts about their Aunt and Uncle. My sister watched the girls since the time they were born until when they started kindergarten while Kim and I were at work. That was the greatest blessing for us as she is SOOO good with the girls and gave them such a head start on learning. Not to mention how well she protected them as she offered the greatest protection there is -- love. I want everyone to know that I love my wonderful sister and her family.

Very nice! I'm just curious where she got that stunning yellow dress in the top photo?? I'd like to try that on....

We've already been subjected to you in a dress once before. No takers. Speaking of which, it's that time of year again. Who are you looking for to be in the Superbowl this year? I'm liking the Cardinals and the Chargers.

Hmmm.....I'm liking Arizona and New York. I also like Pittsburgh, but I think the Chargers might beat them tomorrow. Don't worry, you'll have your chance to show off that girlie figure to the blogging world! :)

What a sweet tribute, Jason! I love my brother. He's a great guy. I love being an auntie. I vow to always have gum in my purse and warm hugs for my neice.

Family is the best, isn't it?

But siblings?

My oldest daughter (about to turn 6) said to me and my wife in the car the other day, "Abba, it's not fair! Everyone has a sister that's nice, and I have one that bothers me!"

My wife and I each have a younger sister (a 2 year age difference in each case). It was hard not to laugh.

What a lovely tribute to your sister. There's nothing like family love.

Th Chargers are out and so are the Giants. That narrows the field a bit, eh?

I guess I'm left with hoping for the Cardinals and the Steelers.

I think that'd be a great game! I really like the Cardinal team that showed-up yesterday and the Pitssburgh team that clobbered San Diego. Wanna make a pick, PF?

Papa Frank said...

If that's the game we end up with I'll take the Cardinals.

Z, do you remember last year? Jason and I had a Gentleman's wager on the Super Bowl...the loser had to appear on the blog in a dress. You could probably find it in Jason's archives. It wasn't pretty, but I'm looking to even the score this year! :)

Am I hearing news of someone appearing in a boufant yellow dress as a result of a football wager? Well, I'm all over that.

how sweet!!!!!!!!!!

Yehudi, the interest I have in football is football watching FOOD, so I probably didn't read about it.

But, this dress thing DOES sound fun! WITH PICTURES, I HOPE!!!

Z, it is a lot of fun...especially with Jason! He's a good sport but knows how to dish out the trash talk as well as anyone! You can go back to Feb 08 in his archives to see how it turned out last Super Bowl. I'll warn you in advance, however, I look better this year and have a pretty sarang I'll model if I lose. Joking! We haven't discussed what the wager may be this year. I am excited, though!

Z -- if you put "A Bet Won" into the search blog box at the top of the page you will find last year's results.

Yehudi -- I'm up for our "manly" dress wager again if we pick opposite teams. I thought you would have learned from last year though that I am ALWAYS right!!! I'm up for a different wager though if you prefer to not look silly again. ;0)
