First Day of School For My Girls

Today was our girls' first day of kindergarten. I sure hope their teacher knows what she's in for. Brilliant children are not always the easiest to deal with!!! What? Okay, so I'm a little biased. But shouldn't I be?

It was my big girl's first day of school too!

You're rightfully proud of all your girls!

so when do they go off to university?

they look so sweet!

if dora's lurking, i'll bet she loves that "dora" backpack.

I don't think dora lurks here. She seems to have an aversion to being made to look stupid by a lowly mechanic. She won't even respond to my comments at your blog or at Brooke's anymore. Pretty funny methinks!

School? Already? It's not even Labor Day!

They do look cute, Papa Frank. Take good care of 'em!

Oh man, what are you going to do with those girls when they grow up? They are so cute and smart as smart can be. You may feel bad for the teacher now, but I feel bad for the poor boys you are going to have to shoot off the front porch in a few years.

I was thinking the same thing as FJ. We don't start until after Labor Day (Michigan actually made it a law).

Great looking kids though.

Back to school is bitter-sweet for me. It is nice to have some adult time during the day, my wife and I actually get to go out and eat lunch alone, but I work irregular hours and I like having the kids home on my days off.

Wonderful and sweet Papa.

Thanks everyone!!! For some reason Missouri insists on starting WAY TOO EARLY. My district started last Wednesday. We are usually done by the last week of May though.

Wish them luck!

p.f. - ours start tomorrow, but they get out the middle of the third week of may.

Precious!
Love the pics.
They'll come home all giddy and talky.

Pops! How'd they do? Weren't they exactly as pinky describes??

She got it exactly right! Their teacher got a bit of a shock because they were using words like "prefer" and "actually" and she wasn't used to that from 5-year-olds. I told Kim just wait until the teacher says "look at the pretty bird" and Jessica says "well, actually, that's an African Gray Macaw."

Cute and smart girls, pf. You & your wife have done your jobs well.

I was bittersweet about my girls going off to school. Although I appreciated the peace & quiet, I missed them throughout the day.

Florida starts early too, last year they started the second week of August, the legislature straightened that one out...but it does mean that 1st semester is finished before Christmas! And they get out by the third week of May.
They are little cuties, Jason!

AW! Those girls are cute beyond measure! I hope you have a big backyard and a shovel for when they get older, PF!

I cried like a baby after my oldest climbed on the bus for the first day of kindergarten... But I'll deny it if you tell anyone!

Now, she starts the second grade on Monday, and my youngest two are going to preschool! :) Ai

Great to see you here Karin!!! We love you guys as well and can't wait for our paths to meet again.

Brooke -- the back yard isn't quite big enough but I do own 28 secluded acres about 90 miles away where I can "invite" the boys to come "hunting" with me.

Morgan -- thanks!

TMW -- they take after their momma in cuteness! Keep your head down and your boots on.

Cube -- thank you! You're absolutely right about the bittersweet.

But I'm betting that Kim didn't marry a stoopidoo either! ;-}

Aw! Their teachers are going to be astounded all year long, I predict.

Brooke, you really are my long-lost siter, aren't you? ;-)
My youngest two are in preschool, and Big Sis is starting third grade. ::sigh::

Jason I didn't want to leave a comment on Yehudi's blog because it's a little tense... Thank you all for encourageing him to keep pressing on in Yeshua, and loving him. Jason I know our path's will cross again! And I pray it will be sooner than later. All be blessed!

Karin-It is a rough path, but the broad and straight one leads straight to Hell! Danil has chosen the narrow and climbing way that leads to; Light, Life and Heaven...be blessed, both of you!
And may HIS Joy and Blessings overtake you both!

Enjoy your little girls while you can. We have 2 girls too, but ours are teenagers now.

My youngest's first day of high school was 8/14/08 and my eldest's first day of college was yesterday (8/21/08). She called me when her second class ended 25 minutes early and said, "Mom, I LIKE college."

Believe me, they're much easier to deal with when they're little.

I'm sure they are both brilliant!
