A Legacy of Love

If you had to boil down the focus and purpose of this blog it would come down to the ideal of a strong family. I am an unashamedly proud husband and proud father, and at the end of this post I hope you will also see that I am a proud son. I love my wife and I love my children with a reckless abandon and I am very forthright about sharing that openly. Some view this as a weak trait or as a girlie trait but I solidly believe that there is no more manly trait than love for your family. Part of what shapes my world view is being the son of a strong and loving couple. My parents taught me from the time I was born that there is honor and worth in things like truth, integrity, hard work, loving others, people, the Bible, and nature. Though I haven't always valued these things with proper perspective I have always returned to these things and allowed them to shape me. Now my parents help to instill these same values and lessons in my girls while always yielding to my wife and I as the parents. Their help is invaluable and could not be bought anywhere as it flows from love for me and for their grandchildren. Their greatest lesson to me, and greatest gift, is the example of their lives. I honor them today and thank the Lord of heaven and earth for giving me to them. Their journey together as man and wife began 44 years ago today. Happy Anniversary Dad & Mom!!!

How amazing!
Happy Anniversary to Jason's Mom and Dad!

I don't know who would consider loving family a weakness. Certainly none of my friends! :-)

SNAPPY AVIDNURSERY, MOM AND DAD! thankx for sharing your son with the rest of us!

pop and i were speaking about this very same thing the other evening - we are one couple out of many we know who CANNOT wait to return to one another and our family - even if it's just a matter of a couple of hours away from each other - we live to be together - there is NO OTHER place we'd rather be than in the vicinity of one another - our children are the same way.

there's nothing unmanly about that - it's about being a family and what could possibly be more important? um, nothing.

44 years seems like a drop in the bucket compared to eternity! your children are so fortunate to have such a strong following.

Happy 44th to your parents. Makes my 19 years seem like just begining. I agree completely with you that a family man is a real man. I believe our society would be much the better if we had more real men around.

Gentleness can only flow from True Strength...it isn't weak!
So congradulation to your parents for being "REAL" on their 44th!
Many more as a light in a rapidly darkening world!
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

Woot! Happy 44th Anniversary to your parents. In our house, we see family unity as a strength, not a weakness. Hope the day is a special one for you all.

It is truly wonderful in this age of disposable 'relationships' to see a loving, committed couple. God willing, I hope to have as long with my husband.

You've good reason to be proud, PF!

Happy Anniversary, PF Parents!

A BIG THANK YOU to all you kind people who sent your Happy Anniversary greetings to us, Papa Frank's parents. We are blessed to have such wonderful children, and yes, we love to do things as a family. God bless you all.

Papa Frank..of all the things a man could find to boast of, I think that what you have chosen is the one of greatest worth..the love, and admiration, of your family.

You did, indeed, have the most wonderful traits instilled in you, which, I'm sure, you are passing on to your girls.

Congratulations to you all!

BEAUTIFUL Post, Pops....thanks for doing this; it's so important. WHAT in the WORLD can be more important than a good and Godly man who loves his family?
YOu had to come from good people...I'm so not surprised that your folks are this wonderful.

God bless and keep them for many more happy, healthy years together, and may you and Mrs. Pops have the same blessings! xxx

You certainly look like your folks. Isn't it odd when people say that? I mean, who else are you likely yo look like? My thoughts aside, congratulations to them both.
