Welcome to our home! We have finally got a chance to decorate for Christmas. Feel free to stop by and we'll share a cup of hot cocoa or a glass of egg nog. Maybe we could even sing a song or two and share a meal. Come one, come all.
we had a wonderful time decorating and i get full credit for the deer with the santa cap...only because jason wouldn't let me hang beads from the antlers, hee, hee.
Brooke -- man that sounds like fun! We are exactly opposite of you and your hubby. I don't touch eggnog but love me some hot chocolate. Kim can't decorate without a glass of eggnog. We make "snowballs" here which is hot cocoa in a large mug with a ball of vanilla ice cream in it.
FJ -- thanks! Stop by any time and we'll share a hot cup of cocoa. Maybe Mayan style with a hint of cayenne in it.
Hermit -- we are blessed with a nice and warm home. It's served us well.
Elbro -- you and Kim can hit the eggnog and Brooke, Farmer, and I will stick with the kid's drink.
WHT -- good to see you here, friend!
Chuck -- It's something that my Grandmother has always done and Kim decided it was a good idea. I like it and it ties to my childhood and my extended family.
Joy -- you are ALWAYS welcome. Drop on by and see the lights and decorations. Kim says you and I need to go out and shop or something while she and your hubby watch the kids and watch their traditional holiday overacted and melodramatic movie.
i've got two little (a 10" and 6") lathe turned olive wood trees pop made a hundred or so years ago in the livingroom - one on the piano and one on a corner shelf - i did the most gawdawful thing to them - last year at the after CHRISTmas sales i bought two of the biggest and most hideous tree topper stars - one actually has blue sequins on it - and i put these huge things on these two tiny trees and that's how i've decorated!
our two keep asking, "sooooo, when are we going to decorate?" "hey, i've done my part!"
Hi, Pops! did you delete my comment, or???? I've been giggling about it since I posted it! What happened!? Chuck's comment made me wonder if this reindeer hadn't gulped down Santa!?
Pinky -- some day you should come to our home and bring your camera. You will not find a white wall in my house very easily. And the decor is as varied as our tastes are. If that last photo was a little wider you'd see that behind the deer is a giant airplane propeller. Mama Frank was a pilot in college.

That looks like a nice, comfortable home. A good place to winter.
Beautiful place... and given the decor, a cup of hot cocoa would appear to be in order! Enjoy the blessings of the season!
So warm and inviting! :)
I'll take a cocoa... Egg nog is my hubby's bag. I'll bring the stogies and kerosine heater for standing around outside while smoking. ;)

Very nice invite. We'll be right over. BTW Mr. Cube especially likes the last photo.
Cube -- we'll have dinner cooked and the fire lit. How about cube steak and potatoes and lemon squares for dessert?
Z -- I would NEVER delete a comment from a blog goddess. I think blogger's been acting up lately. And no worries - Santa's safe.
Nanc -- thanks for noticing my rack!!! ;0)
I've never had eggnog 'adult' style. Might have to try that. I do love cocoa and hot cider. I'll take all three! Love the decor! It's soooo cozy!!
